Knick Knacks &

fun things I'm making

I feel strongly about the things I'm upto in the moment, they are framed by my thoughts and will continue to frame my thoughts going forward. Take a look, maybe it'll inspire you to make something too.

The new one made to be stronger and better. Dice should be sexy right?

Our Catan game did not have a dice, so instead of literally making one why not make a fun lil baby arcade machine that not only rolls the dice but also can be coded to a specific game (in Catan is the two dice rolls add up to seven, the robber comes out, in this case, an animation!)

die-abolical

The pill-drill coffee frother

The pill-drill coffee frother

Drill Press Cafe, at Maker's Asylum, Goa, has a drill that froths your coffee, fascinating! So what if you could take this very system (which is super fun to use) and take it home with you? The mini frother. In fact frothers look so bland compared to a whole drill.

The Millimetoe Calliper

The Millimetoe Calliper

I was very tired of working with Vernier Callipers and them looking like murder weapons. In a heated conversation with my friend, I thought about how we stick our toe to check the depth of water, so lets make measuring fun again, if it ever was, or make it fun from now. This was deep.

Craft evaded me for the longest time until I was hit with an eye opening workshop that put craft and making together, the gate was open. So, immediately I thought it was wise to draw inspiration from the Chandigarh Chair, and weld it together with subtractive manufacturing, making this little guy.

Is this how a product designer addresses craft preservation or is paving a path to continue evolving a craft. An inquiry driven approach has inspired my latest ongoing project. More to come soon.

Made to Provoke (Worldbuilders edition)

For a workshop on speculative thinking and design fictions I constructed a few artefacts, like an 'optical record player' and a 'photosynthesis optimizer' to convey a world to provoke participants to better understand what they're dealing with.
